From my misc-pics-box here is a photo from the Allgäu region in the German Alps. We have made multiple trips to visit different parts of this beautiful region in the last few years. Here we enjoy a well-deserved beer in a typical German Biergarten after a picturesque 10 km hike.

Here’s a short poem about my ongoing attempts at conquering the fear of all things new.

New things, new situations, a brand new life
Best case scenario, butter cut by knife
Worst case, who knows, maybe walking on fire
Or other scary what-ifs and consequences so dire
To flip the page or not, I’ll think about it, let’s see
But if the caterpillar overthought, the butterfly wouldn’t be
